This colorful zine was created from a blog I wrote several years ago. Adding visuals to the content reshaped the writing into a fun avenue for new parents to learn from seasoned parents.

 

My goal for this zine was both to inform other parents and to create a visual that accurately represented the diversity in children. I was intentional about including babies of many races, sizes, and abilities. I was disappointed that I could not find photos of babies with disabilities like Down Syndrome or Spina Bifida, but I view this as an opportunity to address this in future work.

This zine describes what not to buy for your newborn baby, but I have also written a blog about things I could not have lived without when my children were newborns. There may be zine sequel coming!
